Our Mission
Parkview Church exists for the praise of God’s glory.
Ephesians 1 - 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
God desires that His saving power be known among all nations that they may praise Him and be glad in Him (Ps. 67:2,3,5).
Psalm 67 -
2 that your way may be known on earth,
your saving power among all nations.
3 Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
5 Let the peoples praise you, O God;
let all the peoples praise you!
Jesus’ mission delegated to His disciples was and is to go and make disciples of all nations.
Matthew 28 - 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
This mission will succeed since people from every nation, tribe, people, and language will enter the kingdom of God.
Revelation 7 - 9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.
Once the gospel is proclaimed throughout the whole world the end of this present age will come.
Matthew 24 - 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Jesus’ disciples, His church, must make His mission their priority. Biblical missions must focus on sending gospel advancing workers to places where the gospel is unknown to evangelize, make disciples, and gather disciples into local churches.
Parkview Church is thankful to support gospel workers who are engaging in global missions. By this we mean gospel proclamation, discipleship, church planting and church strengthening in areas of the world, and among specific people groups, where the gospel is unknown, churches have not been established, or where established churches request assistance.
Parkview Church also gladly supports gospel workers who are focused on gospel proclamation and discipleship where the church is already well-established. This includes the Black Hills area and the rest of the United States. Such workers serve under the authority of a parachurch ministry, using specialized strategies and skills to reach a targeted part of the population that local churches are not equipped to reach by themselves.
